Appliance Repair software questions

How much does appliance repair software cost?

Fieldspilot is appliance repair software: scheduling, dispatch and invoicing in one app. Free plan; paid plans from $29 a month billed annually.

Can I track parts for a specific repair?

Yes. Put the job on hold with a note of the part and when it’s due, then add the return visit to the same job. The second trip opens with the original diagnosis and is billed once, not as a new job.

What is appliance repair software?

Appliance repair software runs the business side of repair work in one place: calls and requests, quotes, dispatch, parts, invoices and payments, care plans and the follow-up that brings customers back.

Can it take the brand, model and error code on the call?

Yes. You set the questions the AI asks, like brand, model and the code on the display, and the answers arrive with the request. Each appliance is then saved on the customer’s home with its model, serial number, install date and warranty.

Can I charge a callout fee when no one’s home?

Yes. Turn on charging for attempted visits, and when a tech marks a visit as unable to complete, the callout fee is invoiced automatically.

Can I quote repair options at the machine?

Yes. Build good, better, best options from your price book, like the quick fix, the new part or a full service, add optional extras, and take the e-signature and a deposit when the customer picks one.

Do warranty callbacks get billed as new jobs?

No. A warranty return can be closed at no charge, with the reason recorded, so the customer isn’t billed twice and your numbers stay right.

Can I standardize troubleshooting for my techs?

Yes. Build a checklist for each repair type, like a washer that won’t drain or a fridge not cooling, and it attaches to every matching job, so every tech follows the same steps and gets it right the first time.

Can I pay my techs commission on repairs they sell?

Yes. Set a commission rate per tech, on its own or on top of hourly or per-job pay, and it’s worked out from the invoice on every job that closes. Revenue, jobs and ratings are tracked for each tech.

Do you offer financing for big repairs?

Not yet. Today you can take a deposit when the quote is approved, so the part is paid for before you order it, and collect the rest when the repair is done.

How quickly can an appliance repair business get started?

Setup takes a few minutes: pick appliance repair, claim a number, forward your existing line, then call yourself to hear it work. Diagnostics, repair labor and common parts come pre-loaded in the price book, and no card is needed to start.
